Paying for Care

Payment Options and Financial Considerations

Animal Emergency Care accepts all major credit cards, checks with approval through CrossCheck, and cash.

We understand that unexpected emergency visits can cause financial strain, especially since payment is due at the time of service. To ease this impact while ensuring your pet still receives the care they need, we offer a range of third-party flexible payment options that can be tailored to your unique situation.

CareCredit: A convenient, flexible financing option

CareCredit is a healthcare credit card designed specifically for pets’ medical expenses. With CareCredit, you can finance your pet’s emergency care, allowing you to focus on their health and recovery rather than worrying about the cost. Key benefits of CareCredit include:

* Subject to credit approval. Minimum monthly payments are required. Terms and conditions apply. Please visit CareCredit for more information.

Scratchpay: A simple, transparent payment solution

Trupanion: Our preferred pet insurance partner

While pet health insurance is a wonderful option for making veterinary care more affordable, most plans require that you pay the bill and submit invoices for reimbursement. Trupanion, however, offers participating veterinary hospitals the option to be paid directly by Trupanion—so you do not have to pay your entire bill out of pocket, only your deductible and any portion not covered by your plan. Animal Emergency Care participates in this service, and we encourage you to apply for coverage before your family experiences a veterinary emergency.

It is important to know that pet insurance only provides coverage if you have a policy in place before care is needed. So please plan ahead—and do not apply for an insurance policy while en route with a medical emergency because it will not be covered.
